DMCA and copyright
LeCoqRoti respects the intellectual property of others, and every program in this catalogue is listed for informational and archival purposes: original installers are never hosted here, only detailed notes, version histories, and compatibility guidance. If you believe material on this site nonetheless infringes a copyright you own or represent, you may send a request for its removal.
Sending a notice
Notices should arrive by email at [email protected] and include the following:
- The exact address of the page you are writing about, not just the domain.
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Proof that you own the work or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your full name, a valid email address, and, if you wish, a postal address.
- A statement confirming that you have a good-faith belief the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Vague or bulk requests that name no specific page slow things down for everyone; I cannot act on a message that merely gestures at the site as a whole and asks for a sweep. A notice that does not contain a page address and a description of the work concerned may not receive a reply.
What happens next
Once a complete, properly addressed notice arrives, I review it promptly. If it appears valid, I will remove or disable access to the identified material and make a note in the affected program’s listing. I also inform the reader who posted it, where applicable, that the content has been taken down following a copyright complaint. Replies usually take a handful of working days; during busy stretches it may be a little longer, though I always aim to be as swift as care allows. Anonymous or incomplete notices cannot be processed, and I do not forward them to third parties.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must identify the material, explain why you consider the removal an error, and include your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a signature. On receipt of a valid counter-notice, I will restore the material unless the original complainant provides evidence that they have filed a court action. I reserve the right to forward counter-notices to the person who submitted the original complaint so they may respond directly.
